Scranton Products (Santana/Comtec/Capitol) continues as the industry leader in responsible recycling.

Several years ago these industry leaders established programs to recycle production scrap and waste.  Today, united as Scranton Products (Santana/Comtec/Capitol) this company is pleased to join the efforts of the U. S. Green Building Council and LEED program to improve the environmental and economic performance of commercial construction projects.

The LEED program certifies buildings that meet standards utilizing energy and environmental design.  The use of Scranton Products (Santana/Comtec/Capitol) solid HDPE plastic products can contribute LEED points in specific categories.

Construction Waste Management-Salvage/Recycle 50% or 75%;
MR Credit 2.1 and 2.2;       1 – 2 points credit  
Scranton Products (Santana/Comtec/Capitol) offers a program by which all unwanted solid HDPE solid plastic products they manufacture should be returned for recycling.   

Recycled Content      MR Credit 4.1 and 4.2         1 – 2 points credit
Scranton Products (Santana/Comtec/Capitol) offers products of 100% Post Consumer Recycled HDPE solid plastic in a variety of colors, and standard HDPE solid plastic products of 25% - 70% post industrial recycled HDPE.

Local, Regional Material         MR Credit 5.1 and 5.2         1 – 2 points credit
Scranton Products (Santana/Comtec/Capitol) fabricates products primarily in Scranton, PA and provides products to projects from warehouse/fabrication facilities in southern California.

The color pallet for the post consumer partition products will include PCL-00 Grey, PCL-02 Desert Beige, PCL-03 Royal Blue, and PLC-05 Midnight Black with matching shoes and brackets to match all of these selections for a uniform design presentation.

Warranty

Partitions and lockers manufactured by Scranton Products (Santana/Comtec/Capitol) and sold under the product names are warranted by the manufacturer to a corporation or other commercial entity which purchases the partitions and lockers for use in the conduct of its business to be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship of material, against breakage or delamination, for a period of fifteen (15) years from the date of receipt by customer. This warranty is subject to the following conditions:

1. The partition/locker has been installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s written instructions and drawings (as contained in the instruction sheet supplied with the order).
2. The warranty is effective only with regard to the original installation of the partition/locker and not to any subsequent installation to a partition/locker that has been altered without the consent of the manufacturer. 
3. The warranty shall not be applicable if the defect in the partition/locker has resulted from any failure or defect in the building or substructure to which the partition/locker is attached (including but not limited to setting, shifting, distorting, or movement of the walls or foundation of the structure), extraordinary wear and tear, violent action of the elements (such as sunlight, lightening, hurricane, tornado, or hail), vandalism, misuse, neglect, or improper handling of the partition/locker before, during or after installation, or improper or insufficient ventilation of the building to which the partition/locker is attached.
4. The commercial user purchases that partition/locker for use in the conduct of its business and owns the building or substructure to which the partition is attached on the date that a claim is made under the warranty. 

Subject to the above conditions, in the event that the partition or any thereof is found to be defective in workmanship or materials within fifteen (15) years from the date of receipt by customer, the manufacturer, free of charge, will exchange new partitions/lockers for defective partition/lockers. This warranty is limited to the exchange, upon receipt by the manufacturer of the defective partition/locker, of new partition/locker for defective partitions or lockers. The manufacturer will not pay any removal, installation costs or any other labor cost associated with the exchange of the partitions or lockers. At its sole option the manufacture in lieu of exchanging new partitions/lockers for defective partitions/lockers may refund the customer the sales price receive by the manufacturer, upon receipt by the manufacturer of the defective partition/locker. 

The partition/locker is only warranted to be free from defects in workmanship or material as set out above. The warranty shall be the sole and exclusive remedy of the customer of the partition/locker. The manufacturer shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting failure or defect in the partition/locker. No representative has authority to make any affirmation of fact or promise which relates to the partition except as stated herein.
